Privacy Policy
for the NOC QuickDASH Chrome extension

Overview
NOC QuickDASH lets you display values from elements on web pages you choose into a diagram overlay you provide (or the default diagram). All processing happens on your device. We do not run a backend, collect analytics, or transmit your data to our servers.
Data We Process
NOC QuickDASH only processes data necessary to show your diagram overlay:
- Website content you select: text/values from page elements you explicitly bind.
- Local settings: your bindings (CSS selectors per site), diagram file (if uploaded), overlay/toggle preferences.
These are stored locally in chrome.storage.local and are not shared with us.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Personally identifiable information (PII)
- Health or financial information
- Authentication data (passwords, tokens)
- Personal communications (emails, chats)
- Location or web history
- General user activity logs (keystrokes, mouse movements, page-wide tracking)
Event listeners are scoped only to the elements you bind, solely to read their current value for the overlay.
On-Device Storage & Retention
- Bindings, preferences, and (optionally) your uploaded SVG diagram are saved in
chrome.storage.local. - Data persists until you clear it (via the “Clear bindings” control, the extension’s options, or your browser’s site data settings) or uninstall the extension.
Permissions Used
- storage – save your bindings, settings, and optional diagram locally.
- scripting – inject the content script to read values you select and render the overlay.
- activeTab – interact with the currently active tab after you invoke the extension.
- tabs – coordinate updates across frames/tabs to keep the overlay in sync.
- host permissions – allow the content script to run on pages where you use NOC QuickDASH.
Cross-Site Use & User Responsibility
Respect websites’ Terms of Service and robots/data-use policies. If you bind or display data from third-party sites, you are responsible for ensuring that such use is permitted and lawful in your jurisdiction. NOC QuickDASH provides local tooling only and does not assume responsibility for how you use it.
Third Parties
NOC QuickDASH does not send data to third parties and does not include third-party analytics, ads, or trackers.
Children’s Privacy
NOC QuickDASH is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect functionality or regulatory changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
